What’s in a name?
The Good Agent – A simple, honest, and meaningful name for a team of 3 friends and colleagues, each one an award-winning and very experienced Real Estate Professional, that want to do nothing more but what’s right for our clients.
The name really does say it all. We’re honest. We’ll tell you what we think. We’ll give you REAL advice.
We don’t feel the need to be famous. We truly enjoy what we do and we don’t want ego to be any part of it. If we do good work and if we keep our clients happy, everyone benefits and our success will come in turn. It’s a simple philosophy.
Of course you’ll get to know each of us by our names, but those names alone shouldn’t be why you’re here. You’re likely here because you need someone to trust, someone to learn from, and someone who has the ability to truly help you with your Real Estate needs and goals.

Purchasing or Selling a home can be one of the most crucial decisions you make in your life, and we don’t believe you should be rushed in doing so, or make any decisions without being fully informed and educated about the process.

Flashy cars. Expensive Suits. Enormous Marketing Budgets. – Why are these things synonymous with Real Estate Agents? Are you paying to market your property, or for the agent to market their own name? We have the tools to sell (just like everyone else!) …BUT we know how to use them
FACT: There is only ONE MLS listing in Calgary. Every licensed Real Estate Agent in the city has access to it and ultimately HAS to use it in order to list property for sale, or conduct a thorough search for properties already on the market. Think of this as a level playing field. Just like winning a pie-eating contest won’t make someone better at knitting, there’s no sense in believing that any one Real Estate Agent, team, or group is better than any other simply because of their outward appearances or efforts to market themselves.
As with anything, it’s how you use the tools that matters most. The Good Agent knows how to present your home not only at the correct market price (and show you why!), but effectively use the best marketing tools and techniques to ensure your home shows as well as possible. In doing so you’ll effectively get the highest possible selling price.
We search for the best properties to buy.
When searching for a home, the big things (price, location, orientation, future developments) matter so much, but so do the other details (signs of damage, lack of maintenance, questionable neighbours, where you plan to work, raise children, etc).
The Good Agent will make every effort to point out the pros and cons of any property and what they mean to you and how they relate to your wants and needs. Don’t be surprised if we talk you out of a buying a property because we don’t believe it’s what’s best for you. Remember the “Honest” part? The Good Agent‘s job is to protect you and ensure you’re making the right choice.
Most importantly, we have to be FAST to get the best properties before they’re snatched up by other buyers. We pride ourselves on our sense of urgency and ability to pounce on the nicest homes as soon as they hit the market. Who wants the stale bread left on the shelf for days or months? You shouldn’t!

It all started with a phone call to a realtor Chris from the Good Agent 2 years ago to inquire about a listing that we saw on realtor.ca. From our first conversation which was only about 30 minutes (lol) we had found a realtor who was actually willing to not only talk to us but answer any and all questions we had - which lets admit was a lot.
Being from Ontario that was the first thing that stood out to us. Chris asked us what was important to us in our future home and started sending us postings that met our needs and the search began. A las life happened and we got delayed with making our move out West. Still Chris and Tammy kept our search going, never stopped sending us listings and never ever pressured us.
As things got back on track in the world so did our interest in moving out West. We had virtual meetings with Chris refining what we wanted and needed in our first home. Finally we decided to make a trip out and like all first time buyers were fixated on a few properties. Thankfully in his infinite wisdom Chris persuaded us to look at almost all of our options. We made arrangements to see about 20 properties in two days even the ones we were not sure about.
We knew that Chris would not steer us in the wrong direction and boy were we happy we listened. Looking at properties we loved online was different when we got there. Chris was honest and pointed out things we would have otherwise missed. With his guidance we were lucky to find our home in a property we were not sure we wanted to see!
During the offer process Tammy and Chris spent time with us explaining what was next, advising what we should do- even did the research for amenities for us. With that research we were able to put in an offer that was accepted 3 hours later which we found out on our first train ride in Calgary.
From the start a few years ago to our new and wonderful home it would not have been possible without every moment of guidance, honesty and transparency of these amazing realtors. They are fun loving and truly the BEST agents.

Chris and Tammy are the best, most thoughtful and thorough agents one could ask for. My girlfriend CK and I received a referral from our mutual friend Aryan a couple of months ago, and we were well taken care of from the initial inquiry through to purchasing our property in SE Calgary!
We were shown multiple viable properties within our budget and they gave us first hand quality advice as we bid on 6 properties ranging from townhouses, to detached and semi-detached.

Wow! We are so thankful we found Chris and Tammy aka The Good Agent. We recently had a baby and were looking to move into a a detached house from our small downtown condo. We interviewed a few different realtors to help us through the process but were impressed by the fact that Chris and Tammy took a lot of time to explain their process to us and how they compliment each other as a team.
Cut to our house search, we viewed probably 15-20 places, TGA were always available to look at places at short notice which we appreciated.
Finally we found the house but there were 11 other offers to compete with! (Anything remotely nice theses days seems to get a lot of offers and all well over asking). Our initial offer was not competitive but with Chris and Tammy’s guidance we were able to submit another offer that got us the house after some negotiation. I can honestly say we would not have got the house without them on our side.
Once we had our offer accepted we had to get moving on all the other things that go into the transaction and fortunately for us, Chris and Tammy’s had great connections with mortgage brokers and lawyers to help us get through all of it smoothly.
Lastly, I just want to say what lovely people Chris and Tammy are. It’s too bad you don’t see your realtors that often after you buy your house because they are genuinely good people and Good agents ;) we highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome team that will go above and beyond to help you out.

I've known Chris personally for many years and reached out to him when my wife and I started looking for a new home. He and Tammy were extremely accommodating and after a year or so of looking we finally found the deal we were looking for. Chris was always honest when looking at properties telling his opinion when asked and catching positive and negative aspects that we didn't see. I know Chris and Tammy bend over backward for their clients to make them happy. I've not seen any other realtor group go as far to please a client as they do. Would highly recommend them!!

After deciding to move from Ontario to Calgary, I asked a friend for an agent recommendation. She checked with a few acquaintances and the name that kept coming up was the Good Agent. Step 1 for me was a Zoom meeting with Tammy and Chris, which gave me confidence I had selected top notch talent. Via a real estate portal set up for me, I chose dozens of potential properties, then flew to Calgary for 3 1/2 days. Tammy and Chris took turns driving me to my property selections. I appreciated their in depth knowledge and honest advice, and attention to detail. It felt that they always had my best interests, and their calmness when I was anxious was very welcome. My 3 1/2 days search had some interesting twists and turns but resulted in no purchase. I returned to Ontario, kept up my internet search, and saw my current home. My husband and I recently just sold our first home after 3 days on the market! Chris and Tammy both made the entire process, from start to finish, incredibly seamless. We sold our condo with Chris & Tammy and bought our first house with them.
